ROOKERY

Oddbird Theatre Presenters Program

Rookery is a dynamic, hands-on training initiative designed to equip aspiring makers and presenters with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in live performance settings. Over the course of three months, apprentices will gain invaluable experience by shadowing industry professionals across theatre operations, communications, front-of-house, technical design, and artist liaison roles. Through interactive workshops, practical hosting opportunities, and direct involvement in live events, participants will develop stage presence, audience engagement techniques, and production management skills. The program culminates in a public-facing event, fully curated and presented by the apprentices, allowing them to showcase their talents and skills in a real-world setting. This immersive experience provides a unique stepping stone for young presenters looking to build a career in live hosting, performance making, or producing.
