Synth Hang: Surge

A hands-on evening of synth exploration and live performance - a chance to tinker with gear, then tune in for an electronic set in the black box.

28 June 2025

About

Born out of monthly living-room gatherings across Delhi, Synth Hang is an evolving community of musicians and enthusiasts brought together by their shared love for synthesisers. These sessions - equal parts jam, exchange, and hang - began in July 2024 and have since grown into a regular happening city-wide.

At Oddbird, Synth Hang presented Surge - a new kind of evening shaped by sound, space, and shared curiosity. The event unfolded across two spaces. Audiences were invited to explore interactive installations and listening stations set up on the mezzanine - designed for tinkering, improvising, and getting hands-on with synthesis. Then, the black box hosted a two-hour live performance.

The acts appeared and reappeared - blending ambient swells, modular textures, field recordings, rhythmic experiments, and unexpected sonic chaos - a sound steeped in Delhi’s experimental spirit.

Performers: Moss (Kaldi Moss), Mandakini Cables (Surbhi Mittal, Rishabh Bhan Singh, Kaushal Sapre), Songs for a Tired City (Shiv Ahuja and Abhishek Mathur), Bloop (Suvani Suri)
