Oddlab: Bardo Beings by Diya Naidu & Ronita Mookerji
Imagined beings moved through a physical performance as part of Oddlab, where experimental works find an audience - circling attachment, conflict, and the uneasy space between endings and beginnings.
17 January 2026
Bardo Beings was a work-in-progress showing set in a world of transition - the space between what has ended and what has not yet begun. Through movement, charged interactions, and repeating cycles of behaviour, the piece looked at how people stay connected to one another through attachment, conflict, and the need to belong.
Rooted in the experience of living in today’s uncertain world, the piece drew on instinct and physical impulse rather than words. Bodies collided, separated, and returned, as past experiences bled into the present.
Oddlab was a home for experimental work at Oddbird, intended to connect artists and audiences in various stages of a piece: early life, work-in-progress sharings, and evolving practices.
