About
A weaver by profession, Kabir's dohas (couplets) and padas are rife with profound philosophical truths as well as imaginative metaphors. These are lyrically rendered in a unique blend called sadhukaddi bhasha or panchamel khichdi. In this world of ulatbasi - upside down poems - trees grow with their roots reaching for the skies, fish bloom on branches instead of leaves or fruits, and the lion shepherds grazing cows. This was brought alive by Shubha Mudgal, Aneesh Pradhan and Sudhir Nayak.
