About
Diary of a Madman was a short story by Russian dramatist Nikolai Gogol and widely considered to be his best work. Illustrating the bureaucratic frustrations of the time, this play was about a low ranking civil servant in love who believes himself to be the true heir to the throne of Spain. His diary entries follow his descent into surreal chaos.
