Coloured and Choosing
In this performance, an immersive "blind" experience was created for a single audience member, exploring the masculine and feminine.
7 October 2017
Once blindfolded, the audience member experienced stimuli shared by the actors, without reliance on sight. In this way the body interpreted signs and explores social stereotypes about gender. The narrative was shaped by the audience, which was coaxed to perceive the world sans generalisations. This performance was designed to be shared with one audience member at a time and involved touch.
