Bandish and Beyond - The Abhimanyu Lal Kathak Ensemble
The Abhimanyu Lal Kathak Ensemble reimagined Kathak through an interplay of rhythms and movement by blending classical compositions with Western drums.

The production Bandish and Beyond included traditional Kathak compositions in Raag Bhopali, Bihag and Bhimpalasi, accompanied with Indian classical instruments. In a contemporary inclusion, Abhimanyu Lal played the Western drums himself, creating a confluence that showcased the limitless possibilities of blending tradition with innovation.
