About the event

We often think of music as something you either master through training or simply consume as a listener. Music in Movement breaks down this divide by reminding us that our body is the first and most natural instrument we have.

Drawing from Dalcroze Eurhythmics, a method that connects music and movement, this workshop creates an interactive space where participants can explore rhythm, melody, and expression through physical play and improvisation. The focus is not on technical ability but on discovery: how music feels when embodied, how rhythm shapes movement, and how movement, in turn, deepens our experience of sound.

Accessible to all, regardless of background or training, Music in Movement offers a fresh perspective on listening, creating, and relating to music. It is intuitive, joyful, and rooted in the wisdom of the body.

The workshop is facilitated by Heeya Behal, a Dalcroze-based piano educator. Heeya studied piano performance at the École Normale…
