About the event
As an ailing woman prepares for death, she asks to become a mango tree. From that quiet, radical wish unfolds a layered theatre piece - rooted in homes and the women who hold them. Drawing from Punjabi folklore, memory, and the untold stories of our mothers and theirs, the play blurs magic and the mundane to explore transformation in every sense: of body, space, and spirit. Through shifting scenes, rituals, and the textures of everyday life, it asks what happens when someone dares to become exactly who they wish to be.
The show runs for 70 minutes.
