About the event

At ten, Safar leaves his village in Jharkhand chasing the sparkle of city life. But Delhi isn't what he imagined. Small against a world built for adults, he learns to survive until one question - "Do you want to study?" - offers him a way forward.

Told through puppetry and the poetry of everyday objects, Am I Lost? is a deeply personal story about childhood, resilience, and finding home in unexpected places. Crafted and performed by Mohd Shameem, the piece traces a young boy's path from uncertainty to agency, guided not by fantasy, but by small moments of care and the discovery of his own voice. The piece follows a boy's journey through fear, humour, and wonder - inviting us to see what it means to be lost, and found.

The show runs for 60 minutes.

This piece has been supported by Magic Mountain Production Grant 2024.
