A body begins vibrating slowly, percussion is added to the mix and together, the two entities pick up pace & tempo. In this solo movement piece, an artist rendered her interpretation of Maqam - a system of melodic modes used in traditional Arabic music. The gradually intensifying movements gripped the viewer and one could feel the pulsating energy viscerally cascading as the piece progressed.
