Maas - Jyoti Dogra

A narrative that examines a fifty-year-old female body and a chorus of well-meaning voices with advice, judgement and perceptions about how we ought to be.

21 September 2024

Exploring new dimensions in solo performance, Jyoti Dogra crafts theatrical experiences through a blend of body, voice, and text. Her approach thrives on original, devised work that goes beyond traditional scripting, focusing on physical expression as a primary research tool. Jyoti tackles shame, pleasure, rage and vulnerability in Maas. In a narrative that is as powerful as it is hilarious, she examines her fifty-year-old female body and a chorus of well-meaning voices with advice, judgement and perceptions about how we ought to be.
