Audience Reading Room: Taramandal by Kriti Pant

Part of the Friends of Oddbird Festival 2025 lineup, this was a facilitated script reading that invites you to step into a character, explore a story, and read as part of an ensemble - no prior theatre experience required.

Via Audience Reading Room, participants have a chance to immerse themselves in an ensemble. Led by professional theatre facilitators, these script readings allow you to explore characters, ideas, and perspectives in a safe and supportive space.

This session featured Taramandal by Neel Chaudhuri, and was facilitated by Kriti Pant. This award-winning script is inspired by Satyajit Ray's short story Patol Babu, Filmstar. Through a tapestry of interwoven lives, it reflects on ambition, small roles, and the quiet beauty of dreaming big - no matter how modest the spotlight.
