Amarrass Nights: Barmer Boys

An evening of music by The Barmer Boys - a trio of next generation torch-bearers of Rajashtani Manganiyar music.

Characterised by their guttural baritones, The Barmer Boys interwove soulful Sufi kalaams with celebratory Sindhi folk tunes. Retaining their medieval tradition, the trio generated a rustic, earthy sound with familiar, foot-tapping melodies.
