About the event

This Bharatanatyam solo unfolds around the elemental force of fire: a destroyer of homes and histories, yet the same flame we light in prayer, remembrance, and longing. Presented by Ganesa Natyalaya, Jwala (meaning a rising flame) is a piece shaped by the precision and emotional charge of Bharatanatyam, accompanied by live vocals and music. Dancer Mythili Prakash moves between fury and stillness, collapse and recovery, tracing the unseen flame that urges life forward even in the darkest hours. The result is a deeply personal and luminous performance, forged from grief, resilience, and transformation.

Vocal: Ashwath Narayanan & Susha
