About the event
The Friends of Oddbird Festival 2025 begins with an evening that celebrates work in progress. A space where artists and non-artists alike can share unfinished ideas, first attempts, or deeply personal expressions - not polished performances, but honest experiments.
We’re opening the festival this way because it reflects what Oddbird stands for: making space for imagination and courage, without the pressure to be perfect. It’s a chance to share work that's usually kept in the background, and to listen to it with openness.
The very first edition is hosted by Avatari Devi and features a dramatised reading of Whale Poop & Other Distractions by Sakina - an emotionally open reflection on memory, estrangement, and the uneasy process of healing.
This show contains sensitive themes. Cover illustration by Nandini Jain.
