Samvad, meaning “to speak together” or “accord” in Sanskrit, is a musical duo consisting of Igino Giovanni Brunori and Virginia Nicoli. With years of training under the Gundecha Brothers in the Dagar gharana and a strong foundation in Western classical music, the duo explores the rich nuances of Indian classical music through combining traditional elements like vocals, flute and percussion with contemporary ones like the saxophone. Their music bridges tradition and the present, offering a fresh take on an ancient form - the Dhrupad.
