About the event

What the Fish is All the Fuss About? invites us to see Shakespeare not as a distant literary icon frozen in textbooks, but as a working playwright in late 16th and early 17th century London - writing for actors, tight deadlines, and unpredictable live audiences, not academic analysis centuries later.

From how actors prepared, to how the architecture shaped the action, to why the language moves the way it does - this show and tell session lifts Shakespeare off the page and puts him back where he belongs: on his feet, in the moment, alive. Whether you're a longtime fan or someone who's only met Shakespeare in a classroom, this session invites you to meet the man behind the myth - and rediscover the joy, wit, and urgency of his plays the way they were meant to be experienced.

Blending performance, historical insight, and behind-the-scenes anecdotes, theatre-maker Anirudh 'Rudy' Nair…
