About the event
Via Audience Reading Room, you have a chance to immerse yourself in an ensemble. Led by professional theatre facilitators, these script readings allow you to explore characters, ideas, and perspectives in a safe and supportive space. This session spotlights For the Record, a celebrated play by an award-winning ensemble, and will be facilitated by Neel Sengupta, Kshitij Mervin, and Krittika Bhattacharjee.
In For the Record, audiences are transported across two fictional timelines: 1971, when a tribunal is tasked with choosing three artifacts to represent India to the world, and 2018, when the transcripts of these discussions are made public. The play brings to life the drama, disagreements, and convictions that shaped these choices, recreating the high-stakes conversations for today’s stage.
